Does anyone know the meaning of the name Sohani or Sohanee and whether it is a Hindu name?

I dont think its Hindu name. Its probably urdu.


I think its pakistani or muslim name.

Sohini is an Indian name - Hindu origin, whichever way you prefer. It is a Raga. I've also been told by brahmins, that it means "beautiful woman".


I've also been told that it is Sanskrit?!
